Which Novi Sad neighborhoods have the most specialty coffee?

Stari Grad, the old town, has by far the highest concentration: Izlet, Filipenko, Kafetea, Mala Radionica Kafe, and two of the city's three Kafeterija locations all sit within its pedestrian core. Centar adds Block 32 and Pendžer, Liman has FREESHKA COFFEE Co. and Vida, and Telep holds Čarolija Kafe and Loft Factory.

Does Novi Sad have its own coffee roasters?

Yes. Mala Radionica Kafe roasts its own light, terroir-focused single origins under founder Marjan Njegrić, FREESHKA COFFEE Co. roasts small-batch beans and grinds to order in Liman, and Loft Factory runs its own LOFT Roastery out of its Telep location. Kafeterija's branches also feature high-scoring single origins, including an 85-point natural Burundi.

What makes Novi Sad's specialty coffee scene distinctive?

Coffee and culture overlap more here than in most cities: Cultural Center LAB folds a specialty coffee program into its music and events calendar, and Ordinacija Art Cafe runs exhibitions by day before turning into an evening bar, both fitting for a city that held the European Capital of Culture title in 2022. The whole scene is also unusually walkable, with most of it clustered inside Stari Grad's old town core.

What makes specialty coffee in Novi Sad unique?

Novi Sad's specialty coffee scene features local roasters and cafés that prioritize quality beans, expert brewing techniques, and unique flavor profiles. Many cafés source directly from farms and offer single-origin options that highlight the distinct characteristics of different coffee-growing regions.
